Kansas State Regulations

Is Metal Detecting allowed in Kansas State parks:   I could not find a rule that specifically addressed metal detecting.  I found this information HERE:  I suggest connecting with Park Managers.

15. Digging holes, removing geological formations, archeological relics or ruins, or vegetation (except for noncommercial use of edible wild plants, wild fruits, nuts, or fungi) is prohibited.

Olathe Kansas has a specific metal detecting document found HERE.

Although FMDAC will try to keep this information current we cannot anticipate how each regulation will be interpreted by a specific park department, park employee or other government employee. It is the sole responsibility of each individual to know and obey the regulations of the park or area they are visiting and or metal detecting.
